Amsterdam Museum

The designer Isabelle Vaverka and Hamid Sallali made the colourful redesign of the Amsterdam Museum.

The identity of the museum is deeply intertwined with its new brand strategy, which centres around the mission of fostering connections. This mission is complemented by four other core values: Amsterdam, Open, Narrative, and Relevant.

The project encompasses various elements, including a new logo, a distinctive typography system, an invigorating colour palette, and a logomark inspired by Amsterdam’s Saint Andrew’s Cross. This cohesive identity is being implemented across campaigns, media platforms, and three-dimensional designs within specific sections of the renovated Amsterdam Museum wing located at Amstel 51.

Isabelle and Hamid used carefully the typefaces Messina Serif and Matter from Displaay.
